These 100-ton 3-bay open hoppers are black with yellow lettering and run on Roller Bearing trucks. CSX is the culmination of the mergers of several railroads that provided the bulk of coal and ore shipping for most of the 20th Century. These were built in 1985 as part of the C&O fleet that became CSX in 1987.
