This Kansas City Southern 3-bay hopper car belongs to a 76-car series. Kansas City Southern was founded in 1887 and is a Class I railroad operating over 3,400 miles of track and operates across ten Midwest and Southeastern states. In April 2023, Canadian Pacific merged with Kansas City Southern, forming Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway.

Built in the mid-1990s, this CP Rail lettered 3-bay hopper featured the Soo Line subsidiary’s reporting mark. Incorporated in 1881, Canadian Pacific Railway is one of the largest Class 1 Railroads in Canada, owning over 12,000 miles of track in Canada and the United States.
