This 100-ton 3-bay open hopper with rib sides is brown with white lettering and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in October of 1979 at the Kentucky Raceland Shops, this was one of 130 non-sequential cars switched between coal service and grain service, seasonally, in the mid-1980s. After coal service, cars were washed thoroughly and the Conrail “Tupperware lid” topper was added to the car, making in essence, a weatherproof covered grain hopper.
