This 40’ standard box car with plug door and no roofwalk is car #26 of a 44-car series representing each of the presidents of the United States. It bears the portrait of our 20th president, James Garfield. The car comes with a commemorative pin replicated from this era. Garfield had a short 200 days as President due to his assassinated while entering a train station in Washington, D.C. He expressed a desire for Civil Service Reform which was eventually passed by his successor Chester A. Arthur. He was the second U.S. President to be assassinated.
