These 40’ despatch stock cars are painted red with white masked sides. Lettering is both white and black on red placards. It was built in 1958, serviced in September 1981, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Numbered into a 200-car road series 277000-277199, they feature eight panels per side. Stock cars that were shopped before 1968 were left in their original Freight Car Brown with white paint; cars that were shopped after 1968 received the new CP Action Red and white paint. The lower portion of the stock car sides was painted white to camouflage the lime spray that was used to disinfect the cars after cleaning.
