Built for a Seaboard heritage railroad, this 50’ boxcar was last serviced in 1984, and was marked for “Explosives Loading Only,” likely servicing the Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport, Tennessee. Seaboard Air Line was founded in 1900 and existed until 1967 when it merged with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, forming the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad. At its height, it had over 4,000 miles of track across the South.
