Chessie (C&O H-25A Class) - Road #: 336748 - 8-Panel 2-Bay Hopper
Chesapeake & Ohio rebuilt this group of hoppers into the H-25A Class in 1965. The Chessie System image was adopted in August of 1972 and once the new paint stencils had been distributed, H-25A hoppers received this paint scheme as they came due for repainting. Many remained in service in these colors well into the CSX era.
